This freestanding Buster + Punch kitchen island is designed around cooking as both a practical and social activity. The combination of induction and teppanyaki provides the flexibility to prepare different types of food directly at the island – from precise everyday cooking to informal meals served straight from the hotplate.

Positioning the cooking zone opposite the integrated seating changes the way the island is used. Food can be prepared while conversations continue across the worktop, allowing family and guests to become part of the experience without entering the working area. The island therefore becomes more than a place for preparation: it provides a natural setting for cooking, serving and spending time together.

Its double-sided construction gives each side a distinct purpose. The cooking side accommodates the integrated Fisher & Paykel appliances and practical storage, while the opposite side combines additional cabinetry with a generous seating area. This creates a substantial, functional kitchen island that can be experienced from every angle and used throughout the day.

Off Black cabinetry and the dark, textured surface of Dekton Bromo give the island architectural depth. Brass details introduce warmth and emphasise the exposed Buster + Punch framework, reinforcing the character of the kitchen as a freestanding piece of furniture.

This 3062 mm configuration demonstrates how cooking, storage and seating can be brought together in one coherent design. Its finishes, appliances and internal organisation can be adapted to the room and the way the kitchen will be used.
